Abstract:
Constant innovations in digital technologies inspired the corresponding development of various new research branches, including the digital humanities, digital studies of English as a Foreign language (EFL) and digital literary studies. Though the research carried out on the global level has been quite extensive in all the mentioned fields of study, Slovak research on how digital technologies affect the methodologies applied in literary studies and foreign language learning only became the focus of exploration in the past several years. Our paper aims to summarise the knowledge gained and presented in the latest Slovak studies researching the digital literary studies and digital studies of EFL. The summary of the current publications will allow for analysing the tendencies and directions in the locally implemented methodologies.
