Abstract:
Contemporary society focuses to a great extent on dealing with business relationships, financial operations and the management of money transactions. Up-to-date information on financial literacy is very beneficial for the young person. The aim of the study is to determining the state of financial literacy and ethical aspects among students of vocational schools, grammar schools and universities taking into account the correlations of the main parameters. Financial literacy represents a specialized branch that develops key knowledge in the field of finance and it has an impact to the quality of students education. These findings should be taken into account when accrediting new fields. The method of the research was a qualitative and quantitative questionnaire survey in a selected sample of respondents aged 16-20 years. Significant findings include the fact that most respondents regularly use internet banking services with their own account. Only 11% of the monitored group do not yet own a bank account. Approximately three quarters of students are satisfied with the choice of school they study at. When choosing their professional orientation, 93% of respondents based their decision on their own discretion. It is also interesting that two thirds of the surveyed persons are able to retain their moral norms regardless the social group they belong to. The respondents who are satisfied with their personality save more than those who are not satisfied with themselves. The financial budget ahead is planned by 11% more of those students satisfied with themselves. Of the total budget, catering expenses make the biggest share of all costs for 77% of students. The survey results confirmed that financial education is very important for the young persons and to a significant extent affects their ethics decisions.
