Abstract:
The paper evaluates the current situation in the fulfillment of the Police's strategic goals in the field of work with minorities, specifically in the field of training and education police officers in intercultural dialogue and professional dealings with members of minorities. The authors present the Police agenda in the context of the current demographic development of the Czech Republic with security challenges in the area of police activity with minorities.

Emphasis is placed on the role of the Police in the adaptation process of minorities, especially on the identification of risk factors affecting the activities of police officers in an intercultural environment. The article tries to identify the educational needs of members of the uniformed Police, who most often come into direct and first contact with members of minorities in psychologically and emotionally demanding situations, and to present the setting of broader educational priorities and goals for further development in the field of police work with minorities within the current migration and integration trends.
