Abstract:
The attitude of high school teachers to updating teacher training study programs in the context of internationality was studied.

In European higher education practice, internationality is seen as an essential condition for progress, increasing the competitiveness of each country in the development of world society.

The article presents a study carried out as part of the European Structural Funds support project, one of the aims of which was to assess teachers' attitudes towards the importance of internationality, global expectations and innovation trends in teacher training studies.

During the project, a quantitative study was carried out using the method of questionnaire survey of high school teachers. The pedagogical staff of one Lithuanian university participated in the research - 58 high school teachers working in various teacher training study programs.

The main problematic questions of the research: how do university teachers perceive study innovations in the context of internationality? How do they assess the possibilities of international teaching internships? How do they assess the possibilities of participation in various international activities?

The research found that, in the opinion of higher school teachers, in order to strengthen the internationalization of teacher training study programs, it is necessary to ensure not only financial support, but also to look for such forms of activity that are characterized by flexibility, related to the possibility of choosing activities of an acceptable duration.

The priority of higher education teachers' international activities is cooperation in the field of scientific research and educational visits, during which higher education teachers would have the opportunity to get acquainted with innovative teacher training practices in foreign universities.

According to the teachers of the higher education institution, it is necessary to look for opportunities for international cooperation when strengthening the internationality of studies. Respondents are interested in the possibility of teaching certain study subjects in cooperation with foreign higher education teachers.
