Abstract:
The aim of the article is to present our experience in the design and elaboration of innovative exercises for development of self-control through the use of mobile technology. The scientific research is subjected to the hypothesis that the development of self-control through the use of mobile technology can be integrated in the educational process, to overcome the difficulties associated with learning and development of various competences, to assist in personal growth and minimizing of bad habits.
The preparation of a set of exercises for self-control development by using mobile technology involves the following steps:
• Creation of a conceptual model of self-control, which is used as a basis for building exercises and activities for its development.
• Design and preparation of scenarios and exercises for self-control development through the use of mobile technology.
• A mobile application for visualization of multimedia resources by scanning QR codes. This Android application uses the camera of the mobile device to scan the QR code printed on a special sticker. Reading this code, the application redirects the user to the multimedia information associated with the relevant exercise for the self-control. This information is in the form of audio-visual information.
• Creation of audio-visual and multimedia resources for mobile devices in accordance with the developed system of exercises for self-control development.
The end result of the research in the fields of psychology, mobile technology and didactics is a training package for the development of self-control through the use of mobile technology. The implementation of this package in teaching students who study psychology, as well as in the workplace of persons practicing stressful professions (social workers, teachers, medical workers and taxi drivers) is organized as a pilot experiment. Keywords:
