INCREASING THE QUALITY OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS THROUGH IMPLEMENTATION OF PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS IN THE UNIVERSITY STUDY PROGRAM

The paper is focused on the issue of improving the quality of the educational process of study programs of university studies at the University of Žilina. Interconnection theoretical knowledge with practical requirements is an essential part of the educational process at the university. When employing graduates of study programs, especially on the first entry into employment often occur deficiencies among graduates, especially in the use of technology. The paper deals with the creation of information environment, the possibility for feedback by former students and the evaluation of the quality of education, transfer of experience graduates successfully established in practice into the curriculum and cooperation with the university. Contribution refers consequently to transfer the experience gained in the learning process in order to maximize the number of students applying in practice. The paper presents the results of a survey of graduates of selected study programs in employment and their feedback on the quality of education also supported by e-learning education. The survey was conducted on a sample of graduates who completed their studies during the last three consecutive years. The survey was directed to determine whether they work in their field of study, whether they use the knowledge acquired during university studies in practice, as well as the time horizon in which students get jobs after graduation. The paper deals with the application of knowledge, experience and skills that students acquired during university studies by traditional form of teaching and e-learning support. Cooperation of university graduates with teachers has the purpose to transfer practical requirements in the educational process in order to improve the quality of education at university.
