Abstract:

This paper deals with security issue of public administration information system. Paper deals with characteristics of public administration information system and security standards in Slovak republic. The Act on Municipal Administration, inter alia, determined independent decisions of municipalities and carry out any acts relating to the administration of the municipality and its assets, unless a special act entrusts tasks to state or other legal person. The basic task of the municipality in to exercise self-government, development of its territory and to fulfill the needs of its inhabitants. Currently, there is an increasing rate of the informatization in the private and public sectors, which leads to the development of information and communication technologies for the benefit of stakeholders. Information has become a vital asset of any organization, therefore local governments. But related real threat information, and therefore it is necessary to make efforts to ensure the proper protection against loss, destruction, damage or misuse by any third party.
