Abstract:

This period is characterised by development of information technologies and it has focused mostly on new trends in education. Improvement of the quality in education system belongs to the priorities of education institutions. Nowadays e-learning is one of the most dynamic and developed areas. E-learning is a modern trend of education that is supported by information and communication technologies. Exploitation of this teaching tool contributes to higher motivation and effectiveness and makes traditional forms of studying more attractive to the students. E-learning enables to create multimedia knowledge databases of examined organisation in the form of electronic courses on the internet, distance communication with the teacher. The utilisation of e-learning teaching methods helps to modernize and improve the quality of education process even if it is still voluntary. The paper presents the results of the research which was realised at the university. The paper gives a survey about the situation at the university, implementation of e-learning into the education process as well as experience and attitudes of students to e-learning. The paper presents recommendations for using e-learning in education.
