Abstract:

The paper deals with research of strategic management utilization for support of education activities and regions development. Strategic management enables regions to become successful and to gain significant position. Development of regions, their movement on the way to prosperity in the specified field don’t depend only on implementation of a well-prepared strategy. It is necessary to detect strengths and weaknesses and to find out whether they mean a resource of relevant vulnerability. One of the possible ways, how to achieve it, lies in implementation of strategic management methods for regions development support. In period of globalisation, growing competition and users´ needs as well as changes of environment cause that regions, which are sufficiently flexible, have a chance to be successful. In conditions of economic instability strategic management enables to analyse present and future state and specifies direction for their further development. Modern management methods help to orientate in present competitive environment, in conditions of uncertainty and permanent changes as well as provide main goals and strategic vision. All results and experiences are implemented to study programmes.
