Abstract:
The questions to which the researchers are looking for an answer for the innovation of the content of education, for the choice of teaching methods and forms, for the choice of educational technologies are aimed at the development of stable educational systems and their implementation in practice. Each European state has its own educational system, which is the result of long-term development, application of experience and verification of advanced ideas of educators, psychologists, researchers, practitioners and the development of the situation on the labor market. The first basic question to be answered is: what to teach? Searching for an answer to this question cannot do without knowledge of the results of science (including the latest ones) in the subject area. To this, it is necessary to add and correctly formulate educational goals. For primary and secondary schools, these are educational standards, that guide teachers in the creation of educational school programs and in the implementation of teaching. State educational programs (which also contain standards) are a binding document for schools and educational institutions.

As feedback to control the effectiveness of the educational process and determine the level of knowledge, skills and abilities of students several researches are continuously realized, at the national level (tests, questionnaire surveys) and at the international level (e.g. PISA). The results of these researches have an impact on corrections, educational programs for the adjustment of standards and development of additions to state educational programs.

Universities submit their educational programs for approval by the accreditation agency. These educational programs are based on the state educational policy, on the social order of missing experts, on the requirements of the labor market and on job offers in various areas of the national economy. Therefore, one of the indicators of the quality of the training of experts at universities is the placement of graduates after graduation in the field they studied. Therefore, developments and situations on the labor market are constantly monitored. The requirements of the labor market affect the creation or disappearance of study fields. In the new study programs, the graduate profile is adapted to external requirements. Thus, there is an effort to prepare high-quality experts necessary for the labor market and not to provide higher education in fields where graduates will only expand the ranks of the unemployed.

The authors describe their experiences from the compilation of teacher study programs at universities, from the course of the accreditation process, as well as from the preparation of informatics (computer science) teachers for the implementation of the state educational program at primary and secondary schools in Slovakia. They also point out how to use research results to improve the results and quality of the educational process.
