Abstract:
Simulation models are a powerful tool for understanding how things, phenomena and the entire real world around us works. In order to be able to predict certain events, phenomena or the behavior of certain objects, we need to understand how these objects work, what rules govern them. Mathematical models of systems implemented on a computer, which are tied to the investigated real-world objects that were defined on a real object, can help us to understand their functionalities. Simulation models are often used in technical, natural and economic sciences, which will help us not only to quickly understand the dynamics of the monitored phenomenon, but also to predict certain events and manage the behavior of the dynamic phenomenon. Therefore, this issue is also an organic part of the didactics of computer science teaching and learning. Modelling and simulation is not only a topic of learning but also a powerful deep learning method. Future computer science teachers learn not only to use simulation models, plan simulation experiments to gain new knowledge and increase the effectiveness of teaching, but also to create such animation-simulation models.

The authors describe their long-term experience with the introduction of such didactic applications as teaching aids. Using examples, they show how to plan and implement simulation experiments to gain new knowledge, to obtain a solution to an assigned task, how to obtain an answer to a given question.
