Abstract:
Teachers are often faced with a lack of quality textbooks and supplementary teaching materials. It is a common phenomenon in the field of computer science, where the teaching content changes rapidly. New thematic units are added and many subjects need to be permanently updated. Teachers often have to create their own teaching materials and electronic aids not only for students, but also for teachers - their colleagues, who do not have the necessary subject knowledge and are not sufficiently educated in the field of creating electronic textbooks and other electronic teaching materials. We often come across that teachers create educational interactive websites, which they then make freely available to students and colleagues for didactic purposes. One of the examples that the author of the article wants to cite is a website containing materials focused on Internet security. This topic was included in the subject of informatics for primary and secondary schools during the last innovation of the state educational program and also became one of the topics of the new matriculation exam in informatics. No materials have been delivered centrally on this topic. The electronic textbook that I want to present to you was developed as part of a diploma thesis under the guidance of the author as a continuation of the semester work of a student of computer science and English language teaching. The main goal was to create an electronic textbook called. "Brief Internet Security Know-How". The textbook is suitable for primary and secondary school students between the ages of 13 and 18. It was prepared in accordance with the state educational program of the Slovak Republic and valid content and performance standards for the required knowledge and skills of the student. It was implemented according to the principles of creating interactive, multimedia textbooks. In addition to the text and image part, it also contains interactive multimedia elements such as tasks to solve, tests to check the level of knowledge, applications of acquired knowledge (for example, application of rules, generation of a secure password) and an explanatory bilingual English-Slovak dictionary of key terms, etc. It is available at: http://internetknowhow.pythonanywhere.com/. The article also presents the results of a questionnaire survey of users' opinions about the quality and didactic processing of the topic. The textbook is primarily intended for high school students, but is also suitable for elementary school students and the general (professional) public. Keywords:
