Abstract:
In practice, we often encounter the fact that textbooks are missing or their content is outdated. Every teacher who cares about the results of his work tries to obtain teaching materials, alternative textbooks, appropriate tasks and their exemplary solution according to his ideas for the subjects he teaches in order to increase the quality and efficiency of teaching and motivate students. This is often the case also in the case of subjects that are considered classical, have a stable content but the tasks that it contains and on which exemplary solutions of the adopted method are demonstrated are no longer current, or for the current generation of pupils, they are no longer interesting, unattractive and not very convincing. Therefore, they often look for (electronic, interactive, multimedia) alternative textbooks, exercise books, thematic units, didactic simulation models that are freely available on the Internet. Such applications are organized into a clear system of teaching aids for individual subjects and their thematic units. They often supplement this system with their own applications, especially in the case when suitable didactic material is not available for the given thematic unit. Future teachers will learn to create such applications already during university training. In every teacher's study program, we can find a subject or several subjects that are oriented towards the creation of such applications. To create their own applications, they can use various (freely available) tools and environments (MaxWhere, HotPotatoes, LearningApps, HitFilm, Audacity...) Creation using such tools and environments is simple, interactive, and the software is intuitive to use. Future teachers of all levels of the educational system, from pre-school and elementary pedagogy to secondary schools, can easily create their own didactic applications. The article presents several examples of applications created by students from various general education subjects for teaching at various types of schools, including preschools. The project method is used in the teaching of subjects oriented to the creation of didactic applications. The students present the created products in front of their classmates at the end of the semester and verify them as part of pedagogical practice. At the end of the article, the authors present the results of a survey that captures the opinions of secondary school students on the use of didactic software applications in the teaching of individual subjects.
