Abstract:
The Department of Health of the Czech Republic disallowed the attendance of students of elementary and secondary schools and colleges according to the law number 561/2004 Code, about preschool, elementary, secondary, post-secondary and other education (scholastic law), with the effect of 11 March 2020. In the European Context the Czech Republic was among the first states that reacted this way to the worldwide harmful progress of COVID19 virus spreading. This situation was very special. We do not file any other similar challenge for the teachers in modern times. The teachers had to improvise to secure the education and they had to find a new and progressive way how to communicate with their pupils in very short time.

The goal of this text is to share the opinions and recommendations of teachers of elementary and secondary schools with the professional public and compare their experience with other states. It can result in improving of distant education not only in the critical situations of a real extent. The results of this nationwide research of opinions of teachers were acquired by a questionnaire method. There was a majority of structural items of polytomy character and summit ratings of Likert type. Their reliability level of learned and expected proportions of accordance was realised with the help of Cohen kappa coeficient.
