Abstract:

Do you want to know how to enhance any student-centered team-building activity? My presentation will focus on using Google docs to create a collaborative environment for project-based learning. This easy and fun interactive tool assists students in all areas of English language development. The examples are from my foundation Reading classes creating Multiple Intelligence novel projects. Video footage of actual usage will show you how easily this tool can be integrated into your classroom. You will learn how multiple students and the Instructor can work on any document simultaneously allowing for effective feedback, peer editing, and support for weaker students. Learn how you can easily keep track of student work with a feature that allows you to see exactly who wrote what and at which specific time. And finally, you will learn how to give your students access to documents you have created. Using this tool is possible even when computers are not available, integrating easily accessible technology into the curriculum to enhance collaboration on team based projects in and out of the classroom.
