Abstract:
Digital competitive games serve as a popular tool for developing digital skills. They provide an environment for honing skills, fostering teamwork, and facilitating effective communication. Simulations of various scenarios allow for practical problem-solving and the subsequent application of experiences in everyday tasks. The competitive nature of these games enhances students' motivation, with rewards serving as motivational tools, contributing to their overall engagement. Providing statistics and performance evaluations enables teachers to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a team or individual, thereby adjusting training and development plans. Games promote innovative thinking and creativity among students, stimulating creative approaches to work. Within the conducted experimental study, the authors of the contribution analyzed the impact of playing digital competitive games on the adaptation process of students upon enrollment and during the first semester of their studies at the university. The research sample consisted of a group (n=150) of students on whom the experiment was conducted in the years 2021-2023.
