Abstract:
The University of Žilina in Žilina has long been dedicated to leadership of the whole university course Job Entrepreneur - Startup Program. The basic pillars of the course are the connection of theory and practice and the introduction of students into the field of business, startups and innovations in various forms. The course takes place in a highly interactive form of education and involves experts from Slovakia and abroad. Specialized workshops, events, expert lectures are held and students test their skills in practice. This article will focus on the change from full-time teaching to distance learning due to the crisis called Covid 19, which has posed a difficult task for course lecturers. The lecturers must solve the provision of the subject in high quality and prepare the course so that it is not necessary to abandon the original standards imposed on the operation of the subject. The article contains information on the development of the transition to distance learning in the type of practice-oriented education. In addition to the description of the course, its standard course, the article includes comparisons of advantages and disadvantages of the new form of education together with the results of two semesters, when it was necessary to solve the situation. Information and practical experience can help in the future similar types of programs, the operation of which is necessarily sustainable and are also practically oriented.
