Abstract:
The inevitable increase of educational technology and digital learning possibilities are of high importance in all spheres of education and military education institutions which traditionally have rather strict approaches to experimental education innovations in e-learning system creation and development context bring additional challenges. As one of the challenges to be addressed is how define and coordinate e-learning strategy and various development activities so that they capitalize on successful efforts. The intent of this research is to identify barriers to the effective development and use of emerging educational technologies to enhance development of interactive training content by building educators digital competence. The authors of this research analyze and outline the peculiarities of developing e-learning system in the context of a militarized education institution. Development of educators’ awareness in using the possibilities of e-learning systems for border guards training. A comprehensive research on the aspects of the environment influencing e-learning system development such as the hierarchy and subordination, aspects of communication, vision and strategy development, as well as possibilities to collaborate in international context in order to enhance the potential of using digital technologies and developing interactive and meaningful training environment and content. The authors put forward suggestions on how to further develop e-learning systems in military education institutions thus enhancing the border security of the EU.
