Abstract:
The use of microcontrollers (Raspberry, Arduino, etc.) is currently a very preferred matter, and their use is not limited to the field of informatics. Microcontrollers find their use also in education, in many science-oriented subjects, for example in physics, too. The aim of the paper is to show how simple is to create a mini-digital synthesizer, with the use of the Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller, which can be used in many ways in teaching sound at the level of primary and secondary school.

In the paper, we will present inquiry-based experimental activities using a constructed digital synthesizer, focused on sound issues. The use of the Arduino microcontroller in the construction of the synthesizer opens up opportunities for us to use interdisciplinary relationships in the subjects of physics and informatics in the implementation of the proposed activities.
