Abstract:
By observing and analyzing pupils’ behavior at the computer science lessons we found out, that the motivation of pupils is decreasing. This paper introduces and describes the procedures for increasing the interest of pupils in informatics and programming at our school.
When deciding about the type of school for future study, their parents could influence the pupils.
Teachers’ task is to show the options and alternatives for future work beyond the traditional jobs, which may not even exist at present. We are sure the ability to work with ICT and the programming skills will be a must in these new types of jobs.
This paper describes the ways, how pupils approach to solving programming problems. We describe our teaching process we use during our lessons to efficiently motivate the pupils. For that, we use specific events from particular lessons.
The pupil's interest in the subject is stimulated by several factors. Our benefit is that we are trying to identify problems with the teaching of programming in research and to explain them with knowledge from psychology and didactics. In addition, we try to answer a number of unique situations that we have observed in teaching programming. Keywords:
