Abstract:
The objective of this research was to study virtual learning environment system to enhance 21st century skills in creativity and innovation for higher education learners in ASEAN cultural community. The methodology of this study was R&D research. The virtual learning environment system was built up from theories, principle, and research in educational background along with the survey result of 400 higher education instructors. Then, it was tested with thirty undergraduate students divided into 6 groups and each group was different in ASEAN nationalities. The research instruments were a creative and innovation assessment, active learning lesson plans, and an opinion questionnaire. The quantitative data was statistically analyzed using factor analysis, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. For the qualitative data, they were collected by the observation form. The improved system was approved by the groups of virtual learning environment system and creativity and innovation experts. The research findings discovered a t-test comparison of post-test scores and pretest scores of the samples showed statistically significant difference at. 05 level between creativity and innovation and satisfy with the systems in the highest level. The process of learning in this system for enhancing creativity and innovation skills consisted of seven steps and seven components as detailed in the article.
