Abstract:
In 2018 at the Kutafin Moscow State Law University within the framework of the course " Forensic linguistic", focused on forensic scientists, we launched a group study of web communication in the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet.

The main goal of the project is to build students' understanding of the Russian language structure, the principles of word inflection and derivation, the peculiarities of the usus formation.

5 sources of web communication were selected for research (Instagram, VK, Whatsapp, Twitter, Telegram), for each of which its own database was created in the Moodle e-learning system. Database populating was included in one of the required assignments for the course. The content of the databases was publicly available to students.

The main goal of the project is successfully achieved annually with each new course of students. Analysis of the project reveals supplementary results:
- preparation theses on the web-communication analysis;
- scientific articles publication;
- developing students' skills in working with content management systems (CMS), e-learning systems (Learning management system (LMS));
- all project participants received web layout skills when filling in databases and working with content;
- project curators learned from scratch the structure of the hypertext markup language HTML and received a basic understanding of SQL in order to provide technical support and automatically analyze the content;
- project curators received the skills of methodological work, mastered the approaches to the development of methodological recommendations. The first curators of databases after graduation from the course began a teaching career.

Based on the analysis of the results in 2021, it was decided to restart the project, modernizing its structure and visual design. Were updated guidelines and rules for working with databases. Added a new source of web communication - Tik Tok. New curators of the project are being prepared. They will continue to analyze content and provide technical support.
