Abstract:
The use of an e-learning system opens up new opportunities for teaching Russian in the professional area. Kutafin Moscow State Law University trains lawyers in various fields, including forensic experts who must acquire professional competencies in the specialty of Forensic Speech Examinations. International students, as well as non-native Russian speaking students who come from nationally distinctive regions of Russia (Chechnya, Dagestan, Buryatia, Chuvashia, etc.), experience difficulty in mastering linguistic disciplines, which necessitated the development of special language pedagogy materials on the Moodle cross-platform. Creating the content of each training module, the teacher establishes the trajectory of interaction between the learner and the information system in accordance with the level of his or her linguistic preparedness, which makes it possible to implement a person-centered approach to teaching Russian. The article demonstrates the possibilities of a virtual educational environment in terms of the correction and improvement of students' previously obtained knowledge of the Russian language (individual online consultations and surveys, laboratory work, tests, creation and editing of text under real-time teacher supervision, etc.), using concrete examples of development and informative and didactic content of electronic modules of speech disciplines ("General Linguistics and Contemporary Russian Language", "Stylistics and Cultural Studies", "Linguistic Analysis", etc.). It also presents types and forms of assignments aimed at the formation of professional language competencies of forensic speech experts – skills of investigating speech recorded on any physical medium in any form (handwritten, typewritten, electronic, audible).

Throughout the last year Kutafin Moscow State Law University and Moscow Polytechnic University have cooperated in the project directed towards researching effects of online and blended learning approaches (the article demonstrates concrete examples of such cooperation).
