Abstract:
In the Spanish university sector, the faculty uses copyright materials, often ignoring the legislation relative to them. This problem has been aggravated with the increasing use of "Virtual Classrooms" and different online platforms, to share various resources, protected by intellectual property, for educational purposes. As a result of this, various universities have been involved in legal problems, ranging from fines with symbolic amounts to much higher disbursements. Therefore, the objective of this study is not only to give basic concepts or notions about copyright that may be useful, but also to clarify what kind of material they can use and publish on these platforms from a legal point of view. Using a file system or web links. In addition, this issue is of vital importance after the reforms performed in 2015, and the appearance of Article 32 of the Law on Intellectual Property, which allows the exercise of certain rights of exploitation to teachers for educational purposes without the need for authorizations or remunerations to the authors. A systematic review of the legal regulation of intellectual property rights linked to the performance teachers in the university environment has been carried out.
