Currently, the problem of the formation of natural scientific concepts of schoolchildren occupies one of the central places in the system of education in Russia. Understanding the principles of consistency and continuity in the study of natural phenomena, creating a modern picture of the world in terms of scientific paradigms change, can effectively generate scientific, creative outlook. Knowledge of the nature’s laws, an understanding of the fundamental unity of the inanimate and wildlife nature as well as of the social processes objectively encourage to take them into account in all areas of human activity, especially at the formation of environmental awareness of the younger generation.

With the development of information society, the information and communication technologies have become an essential tool for an effective learning process in the field of natural sciences. New conditions for the development of Russian education, increasing demands of employers and higher education institutions to the level of knowledge and practical skills of schoolchildren as well as the increasing volume of information are circumstances which stimulate the introduction and improvement of the information and communication technologies and the emergence of various federal and local programs of informatization of the education system as well. Thus, within the Concept of modernization of Russian education and the project "Computerization of Education System" the Government of the Russian Federation has adopted a number of resolutions aimed at introducing the information and communication technologies into educational activities. The main idea of the project "Informatization of Education System" is the creation of conditions for the system implementation and active use of the information and communication technologies in the work of secondary schools.

The article discusses the Russian experience of the use of the information and communication technologies in Tver Secondary School no.45 with Advanced Studies of Natural Science. This work was performed in collaboration with Tver State Technical University within the framework of the general educational system. Sharing of the intellectual and material resources of the school and the university has enriched the education process with variety of new possibilities. The use of information and communication technologies is a successful example of the integration of science and education at the system “Secondary School – Technical University”.
