Abstract:
Communication is one of the most essential concepts that describes the human world. The variety of functions and roles of communication in human existence has determined its distinct status. The interaction between the representatives of different cultures has its own key features, which are also to be seen in the process of learning foreign languages such as English, German and Chinese.

The process of studying foreign or a native language is a personal need of each individual that is being reflected in social interaction and communication. Successful act of information’s transmission depends not only on the speaker’s willingness to communicate, but also on their ability to appropriately achieve the speech intention. The communicative activity heavily relies on language proficiency, namely the language units, knowledge and the ability to use them in specific situations during the act of communication. However, the knowledge of individual language elements by itself cannot be attributed to the "language proficiency as an instrument of communication".

As of today, teaching of foreign languages such as English, German and Chinese and intercultural communication are closely associated and mutually dependent. Intercultural education is essential during the language learning process and differs from other areas of contemporary education. The difference lies in adaptation of necessary knowledge and skills, which are for the most part acquired through direct cultural contacts. Therefore, the main objective of teaching foreign languages is accomplished by studying the language as a practical and full-fledged communication tool.

This article aims at identification of the intercultural communication problems in the environment of teaching foreign languages. The relevance of this study plays a pivotal role of intercultural communication problematics' in education in the contemporary world, namely in teaching of English, German and Chinese.

In this study, there are descriptive, statistical and comparative methods. This study/research has proved that modern teaching of foreign languages is impossible without assimilation of the foreign cultures’ customs by learners, as well as studying multicultural communication cannot exist without integrity of culture-oriented linguistics aspects during the educational process.

The comparative analysis has shown that it is necessary to focus special attention in educational programs on such points as: role-play; illustrative material, which will create an accurate particular image of the lexical units; and facilitate the immersion in a cultural and educational environment through common projects aimed at learning about national characteristics.
