Abstract:
Much shows that a decreasing corporate innovative activity in Poland, despite the expenditure of considerable funds, is due to inadequate mechanisms of the state operation and spending of funds. With that in mind, it is necessary to develop such solutions which would make the expenditure of the money enhance corporate innovativeness in Poland. It is thus essential to launch all kinds of actions to make the cooperation between science and business sectors even closer.

Poland has not developed an effective transfer model, however, it seems that the dynamics of economic development in Poland will impose such process. Higher education modernisation in terms of socio-economic development strategy is indeed one of the priorities of the EU educational policy; the Lisbon Strategy and Europe 2020.

The article provides theoretical grounds for knowledge transfer in Poland and the research results analysis as well as identifies the opportunities and threats of knowledge transfer in Poland.
Keywords:
Knowledge transfer, knowledge transfer model, academic spin-offs, business incubator, opportunities and threats of knowledge transfer in Poland.
