Abstract:
In schools and school facilities, teachers are placed in a situation when they take care of a diverse group of pupils. Pupils come from a different family and social environment. Besides the environment, the personality of an individual also plays a role in his/her behaviour. The study examines the views of future teachers on primary prevention as one possibility of reducing the occurrence of socially pathological phenomena at secondary schools. The study also deals with the views of future teachers on pathological phenomena such as domestic violence and rape. Respondents were students preparing for the future profession of a teacher of practical training at secondary schools. The quantitative method, questionnaire technique was used to find the necessary data. The results of the research have shown the need for the education of students – future teachers in the area of primary prevention of socially pathological phenomena. The benefit of the study is not only the findings themselves, but also a warning about the possible undesirable secondary victimization on the part of the teacher. The conclusion of the study is a recommendation for the preparation of future teachers.
