Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to experimentally study the signs of clip thinking in primary students, middle, high school, college and university students and defining approaches for building a teaching methodology / technology that takes into account the peculiarities of thinking of representatives of digital generations. The article presents the results of an online questionnaire (May - June 2021) and analyzes the opinion of the educational community of Ukraine. The survey covered 536 respondents from all over Ukraine.

Answering questions about the peculiarities of clip thinking, 70.5% (378 people) of respondents consider the revolution in information technology and computerization of various spheres of modern life as a prerequisite for a special cognitive style - clip thinking. 34.1% (183 people) noted changes in neuropsychological processes. 30% (161 people) associate clip thinking with the emergence of a new generation - Generation Z. We analyzed the answers to this question in separate groups of respondents.

Answering the questions, "Have you observed in the last 5 years such features of cognitive processes in students?", 72.2% (387 people) identified a deterioration in the stability and duration of attention 64.4% (345 people) - problems with memorizing information, 62.3% (334 people) - a decrease analytical and synthetic abilities of pupils of digital generation. And only 7.3% (39 people) reported a higher level of intelligence quotient (IQ).

The next question, which was proposed to answer teachers and educators, was aimed at determining the cause of changes in cognitive processes (perception, attention, thinking) in the current generation of students. 65.9% (353 people) of respondents said that the reason for changes in the processes of perception, attention, memory, thinking in the digital generation is the constant use of gadgets. 50.0% (268 people) see the problem in outdated teaching methods that do not take into account the peculiarities of the digital generation.

In order to take into account the peculiarities of thinking of pupils / students, which are manifested in clip thinking, organizing the learning process, the following approaches should be taken into account: - visual educational information, including using associative links - in the form of mental maps, structural and logical diagrams, supporting notes, drawings and the like, - presentation of educational content both in a conventional material form and in a virtual digital form through the use of various online services, - preference for schematic presentation of information over speech, especially in the early stages of assimilation, - not very distant in time fixing portions-fragments of the material - immediately after acquaintance with the fragment, - a varied pace of training with a constant change of types of educational activities and forms of work of students - not very distant in time fixing portions-fragments of material - immediately after familiarization with a fragment of educational information, - possibility of "hyperlinks" with a goal or a measure of help necessary for a student / student or in-depth research of the essence of the phenomenon, fact. Note that the approaches are presented in accordance with the priorities identified as a result of the analysis of the survey of teachers Ukraine.
