Abstract:
The teaching profession concept is changing under the influence of social changes and changes in kindergartens. The traditional definition of teachers‘ roles and demands in the teaching profession no longer meet the new demands of society for the next generations education, a school‘s position is changing in both education as well as society. From the Czech Republic’s point of view, 2016 was a key year, a year whereby the final year of kindergarten was made compulsory for all pre-school children.

The main objective of the paper is to define the requirements laid on the teachers currently in kindergartens and to describe the areas in which the management of an educational establishment supports the novice teachers in their pedagogical practice. A quantitative approach was used to achieve the target as well as the questionnaire method, where pre-research to provide validity and reliability was performed prior the main data collection. The research group consisted of 96 respondents. The data was evaluated by standard statistical methods.

The findings show that teachers' personal prerequisites, corresponding professional competence and communicative skills are the important requirements of kindergarten management. Regarding support for teachers, school management mainly offers professional reflection, support for administrative work and support in further education
