Abstract:
The work is devoted to the study of folklore works of the peoples of the South of Russia, as a means of overcoming barriers in the communication of young children.

The study was aimed at identifying the features of mastering children of early age with delayed speech development of subject-effective, expressive-mimic and speech means of communication, the study of early manifestations of speech dysontogenesis.

The analysis of linguistic and socio-psychological characteristics of small folklore forms of the peoples of the South of Russia, stimulating the development of verbal and nonverbal means of communication of an early age child. It is revealed that small folklore forms are absolutely natural means of the developing work with children of early age thanks to the structure, simplicity of lexical and grammatical designs, figurativeness, emotionality, possibility of use throughout the day, in various types of children's activity.

The result of the work was the systematization of small folklore forms in accordance with step-by-step tasks of developing work related to the sensorimotor development of the child, stimulation of his General and speech imitation, and then the development of speech and speech communication on the basis of mastering non-verbal and verbal means of communication.
