Abstract:

The theme of crime and drug prevention at high schools is an actual and very specific topic. This article is focused on the characteristics of the condition, but also on the actual assessment of preventive activities used in high school environment. The first part of this article describes basic concepts and background of drug prevention, assesses the state of drug addictions and quality of prevention programs in Slovak Republic. The second part of the article focuses on the analysis of the current state of drug prevention at Slovak high schools using SWOT analysis and selected method of multiple-criteria decision analysis. The obtained results create a basis which could determine trends of drug prevention in the future. The final section processes proposal of drug prevention plan in the specific conditions of high schools with a schedule of activities that could help to development of the current drug prevention efficiency.
