Abstract:
Matching jobs and employees is a challenge. Internet and electronic recruitment – or e-recruitment – provide opportunities to faster find the right person to the right job. Today technology provides many new ways to find qualified staff. As a result, there is a rich variety of recruitment services and ways how technology is being applied for recruitment purposes. On the other hand, people who are looking for work and career opportunities have access to search engines so they can better find jobs that match their skills, knowledge and career paths. Here we focus on electronic recruitment, how is it used in recruitment process or are more traditional methods in recruitment still in place.

Using internet for recruitment purposes a significantly empower the recruitment process. This does not mean that more traditional methods in recruitment are obsolete, electronic services could be seen as extension to existing procedures, methods and structures in the labour market. Electronic recruitment makes it possible to faster and easier find the right person to the right job. At the same time electronic recruitment can give more control to both the employees and employers. Here we look at electronic recruitment services in companies, their role in relation to more traditional recruitment processes, and what services are actually available for employees looking for career development opportunities.
