Abstract:
The current trends of internationalization and globalization within the higher education (HE) been considered, the importance of EMI (English as medium of instruction) and CLIL (content and language integrated learning) approaches is strongly increasing. In the article, the process of EMI and CLIL implementation in technical (particularly Informatics and Management) subjects and those related to pre-service teachers of English language preparation is described, reflecting their special features in relation to EMI and CLIL.

The content is structured in three parts:
(1) the research sample of 80 students and 18 teachers is described, including respondents´ motivation to learn/teach through EMI and/or CLIL;
(2) the process of students/teachers preparation for EMI/CLIL is introduced;
(3) data on their feedback collected via the questionnaire and interviews after EMI/CLIL exploitation are presented.

Finally, with respect to collected data, pedagogical conclusions are provided, including didactic recommendations towards improving the process of implementation of EMI/CLIL approaches in higher education.
