Abstract:
This paper presents a study of the level of anxiety and stress caused by taking university exams, in a situation where performance have a great importance or there is great pressure to do things well. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an increase in the level of stress and anxiety has been observed in students when taking written tests. Returning to classrooms in face-to-face mode, after a year and a half of remote teaching, has caused states of anxiety, dizziness, headache, nausea, altered emotional state, among others for university students at the realization of written tests.

In particular, the emotional state of students of different grades and courses is evaluated, to appraise the psychological state of the student before and after taking written tests through a survey valued according to a Likert-type scale. The data obtained has been processed and analyzed using the SPSS statistical software. The variables under study have been analyzed using multivariate analysis techniques for qualitative variables and the reliability of the survey has been measured using the alpha of Cronbach. Finally, lines of action are proposed according to the results derived by degree and academic year.
