Abstract:
In the Czech Republic is beginning to learn through interactive textbooks in more schools. They are here as potential successors to paper textbooks. These textbooks are enhanced with multimedia and interactive exercises. It is important to verify that today still attract for children.

Also in printed textbooks are differences in the number of pictures, graphs etc. In our research, we compare the 6 printed a one interactive geography textbooks for 6th grade (Elementary School Grade 6, children 10 to 11 years old). We find the number of non-textual geographic information divided into categories according to content (images, photos, graphs, cartographic part, tables, etc.). Part of the research is the comparison of text difficulty calculated by the method M. Pluskal. The results can be a good guide for teachers in selecting textbooks for their students.

After the theoretical research followed a pedagogical experiment. Comparing the use of interactive and paper textbooks. Textbooks are now tested.
