Abstract:
This paper describes the work done at the Escola Politécnica of the Universidade de São Paulo, as a way to overcome the limitations imposed by social distance, in which eleven experiments of the Computer Networking Laboratory undergraduate discipline underwent a review and transformation.

The experiments, which deal with various topics related to technologies, protocols and strategies used in a computer networking, propose practical activities that enable students to better understand them.

The topics of the experiments are Structured Cabling, Ethernet Technology, IP Protocol, Routing Protocols RIP and OSPF, Multicast Protocols, BGP Protocol, Wireless Networking, Software Defined Networks, Sensor Networking, Network Security, and Programming for Quantum Computing. The limitations of the tools used did not make it possible to virtualize the QoS and Network Equipment experiments.

The transformation to didactic activities performed entirely on line was possible thanks to the use of virtual machines, network simulators, and the Zoom Meeting virtual meeting tool. LMS Ae (Learning Management System Ae) was used as a support system and videos demonstrating experimental procedures were used in some cases as supplementary material.

The adjustments made to the experiments and the adaptation of the participants are discussed in this paper, showing as well a comparison of the average scores obtained by the students in the face-to-face model and the new model.
