Abstract:
One of the factors that impact on the quality of educational services is the capacity for strategic planning and academic-administrative management on the institution's governing offices, which implies to improve the development of its activities to guarantee the decisions quality. In order to accomplish this purpose, it is necessary to articulate the key elements of the organization, such as vision, mission, objectives to the activities that will allow the goals achievement.

There are reference models that support administrative management and provide a methodological framework that supports the definition and design of the aforementioned architectures (Arango, et al., 2010). It is important to mention that most of these reference models are neutral to suppliers and technology, whose vision is the flow of information without borders, so that its adaptation and application in Higher Education Institutions improves administration management, by taking in account the complexity that implies the management model for this University, the model requires an interdisciplinary vision by combining knowledge and experiences from different disciplines (management, information systems, and processes).

From the perspective of each of these disciplines, the objective was to apply the best practices for a management system design that integrates:
a) An architecture process that supports substantive functions and also describes the organizational structure, planning and control systems, governance mechanisms and administration policies of UAM (Metropolitan Autonomous University) environment procedures;
b) A data architecture that manages information and provides a perspective on how information resources are managed, shared and used by the organization members. To establish a unique source of information that guarantees data quality, accurate and timely information that our institution needs to support different processes and to target it for different purposes;
c) To incorporate computer strategies that support substantive functions and to establish the type of applications needed for data and information management; y
d) The definition of a technological architecture that establishes the computational platforms, databases, as well as the mechanisms of storage information repositories, data networks, data processing and integrated services on technology centers. This work culminated in the definition of the key process architecture that will be represented graphically and documented each process on UAM Lerma.
