Abstract:
This poster presents the benefits and challenges of Creative Internprize international project, especially for students from creative areas. It is recognized that these students have a need of further preparation for being successful entrepreneurs. This preparation can be either with technical skills or soft skills. In order to achieve this aim, an international project was developed with the participation of eleven partners from different European countries. Porto Accounting and Business School from Polytechnic of Porto is one of the partners and contributed, especially in the financial and accounting areas for the outputs of the project. The project promotes a practical-based learning, especially through apprenticeship-type training, making it more relevant by helping students start up a business or a career. This different approach of providing training for students, focusing in a practical and professional context is normally more attractive and motivating, contrasting the traditional theoretical-based training, which is more demotivating. It is clear that students from creative areas are the most benefited with the outputs of the project, however students from other backgrounds can also take advantage of the work done.
