Abstract:
The development of information technology has transformed society and its approach in all dimensions. The transformation of different sectors of the economy, as well as the mentality of society as a whole, has made us face new challenges. One of them is the transformation of the teaching-teaching model, from the class model (in the classroom face-to-face confrontation with the student) to the online teaching platform. Although various European countries have implemented this teaching model decades ago, Albanian society has recently faced this model. Therefore, if in many developed countries so far there have been alternative opportunities for students, already due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the online teaching platform has become a prerequisite.
However, are Albanian students and lecturers ready to face this platform? What are the obstacles that stakeholders will encounter with the implementation of online platform? Will the online learning platform have the same efficiency as classical learning? These many other questions will be answered through this scientific research. Through an empirical and theoretical analysis the paper will show the relationship that exists between the dependent and independent variables the study hypotheses are treated.
This will be achieved through an online survey, where 1672 students from all private and public universities operating in the Albanian territory, were surveyed. Measuring instrument with Likert scale from 1-5. Multi-factor analysis performed through the SPSS program, which enables the performance of ANOVA test, Chi-square (χ2), means, standard deviations, frequencies and correlations between the main variables have confirmed the study hypotheses. Finally some conclusions end this scientific study.
