Abstract:
The rapid evolution of digital technology has significantly impacted project management methodologies, with a particular focus on achieving lean project delivery. Lean project delivery is a project management approach that emphasizes efficiency, continuous improvement, and the elimination of waste. This study aims to investigate the integration of digital technology within lean project delivery frameworks. The review seeks to assess the impact of data analytics on decision-making and explore the role of collaborative platforms in lean environments. This paper presents an appraisal on digital technology parameters, in order to provide insight on achieving lean project delivery. The research is a literature review paper that relied on secondary sources to gather data. The data were content analysed using thematic approach and the findings descriptively presented in themes, with the aid of a plate, table and figures. The review revealed themes, trends, technical details, challenges, and success parameters for achieving lean project delivery through the application of digital technology. The results showed that utilizing digital tools has the potential to influence the outcome of project delivery, enhance transparency, an inclusion facilitated by digital platforms can foster better understanding among project stakeholders. Digital technology is crucial for lean project delivery, enabling collaboration, communication, and process automation to enhance efficiency, quality, and project visibility. The study aligns with the 8th target of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that promotes wider social and economic development through technology, produces new jobs, and allows for resilient labor and trade.Keywords:
