Abstract:
The article describes the result of a study of the temporary state of readiness of future physics teachers for cultural and educational activities, conducted at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the South Ural State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University (SUSHPU).

Based on the comparison of the labor functions of the teacher and the structural components of the future teacher's readiness for cultural and educational activities, the authors of the article identified possible difficulties and reserves of professional growth in this aspect.

Based on the identified requirements for the cultural and educational activities of the teacher and the study of the difficulties encountered by undergraduate students of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of "SUSHPU", we came to the conclusion that it is necessary to purposefully work on teaching students the elements of designing the content of cultural and educational activities in teaching physics through the selection of material from various reliable sources and its adaptation to different groups of the population.

In conclusion, the results of experimental work carried out at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of "SUSHPU" are described, stating that the formation of knowledge and skills for the implementation of cultural education of various segments of the population is facilitated by the systematic educational activity of students in the study of pedagogy, physics, astronomy, methodological disciplines and the development of industrial practice programs.
