THE USE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN ENGLISH CLASSES

Abstract:
The article explores the use of digital technologies in English classes. A necessary condition for high-quality modern education is a harmonious combination of traditional education with the use of advanced technologies. The use of digital technologies in English teaching is one of the most important aspects of improving and optimizing the educational process, enriching the arsenal of methodological tools and techniques that allow diversifying the forms of work and making the lesson interesting and memorable for students. Educational digital technologies open up fundamentally new methodological approaches in the system of general education, because of the use of multimedia visualization in the classroom.

The purpose of this study is to determine the combination of traditional teaching methods with using digital technologies. The use of Digital Educational Resources at various stages of the lesson is identified: introduction of new vocabulary; studying grammatical material; listening practice; testing students' knowledge. The use of digital educational resources makes it possible to effectively organize independent work of students and contributes to the formation of a free, active and independent personality.

Methodology:
The methodological basis of the study is a systematic approach for researching scientific literature in the field of theoretical and methodological provisions on the use of modern digital tools in teaching foreign languages. To collect theoretical data, we used an analysis of digital technologies that make the educational process personally significant, in which the students are able to fully reveal their creative potential, demonstrate their research abilities, imagination, activity, and independence.

Results:
The study presents the most popular programs such as Lingualeo, Duolingo, LingQ, FluentU, RosettaStone, etc. They involve learning a foreign language through immersion. At an early stage, the level of language proficiency is determined, which is taken into account when developing the curriculum. In addition, the advantage of the program is the opportunity to study languages, as well as on real materials in accordance with the sociocultural context in audio and video formats, as well as communication opportunities and online around the world.

Conclusion:
The results of the study allow us to conclude that the use of digital technologies makes the learning process flexible in relation to social and cultural differences between students, their individual learning styles and pace, and their interests. The systematic use of electronic resources in the educational process in combination with traditional teaching methods and pedagogical innovations significantly increases the effectiveness of learning.
