Abstract:
Class size and timetables have been frequently discussed among academics and practitioners working in Higher Education Institutions. Nevertheless, students’ opinions regarding these important factors have been rather neglected. This paper examines college students’ perceptions and beliefs related to class size and timetables. Mores specifically, it analyses students’ preferences between morning vs. evening classes, their opinions regarding class size and duration, as well as their behaviours associated to these elements. The empirical research took place among students of Faculty of Economics at the University of Valencia in Spain. Data were collected between December, 2016 and January, 2017 and were analysed through qualitative and quantitative research methods. A structured questionnaire was developed and administered among both Spanish and international students. Results and implications are discussed from the international perspective.
