Abstract:
The article deals with issues that are crucial in the life of an adolescent, without realizing it at the moment. Choosing an educational path in the transition from primary and secondary education is one of the first major life decisions. In most cases, it is not only a decision in which direction our study steps will take in the next few years but above all, it is decided at this time on the overall professional orientation of the individual for a substantial part of his life. The aim of this review is to highlight comparative differences in the issue of students' decision-making in the choice of a technically oriented educational pathway and to highlight the changing preferences and role of students in the decision-making process based on a research investigation following previous findings of general research. The paper asks questions about the motivation of students to choose an educational path, seeks answers to the influences that are important in their decision-making and offers ways to direct the choice of the educational path towards technology.
