Abstract:

To increase the role of General Practitioners in the healthcare system based on an updated and exhaustive training curriculum, it is essential to implement and expand the GP trainer network, to increase the quality of medical services and to achieve consistent and standardized medical services. In this regard, it is important to launch an e-Learning portal with courses for Continuous Professional Development dedicated to the General Practitioners and selected Data Center Solutions as a consultant and technical provider.
In Iran there will be a new health system in near future which is based on healthcare teams (named as family physician project). It will revolute the health system but there is a question about ability to integrate education in future healthcare system. In this study we will explain the new system and its abilities and in the second part we will discuss what this program can do in networking of the family physicians and continuous education. Infact, we will evaluate that is it possible to consider the project as an e-learning portal for general practitioners?
