Abstract:
From the Human Rights perspective, interculturality refers to equitable relationship construction between people, communities, countries, and cultures based on respect for diversity.

Considering Interculturality as a relationship process between different cultural, social, educational, historical, economic and political elements, where no one ideas or actions are above the others no matter if coming from a single person or a cultural group, favoring the dialogue and agreement all the time and, with it, improving integration and social harmony enriched by different cultures.

Cultural diversity is a need to get harmonious coexistence among the people of the world, that is why universities had adopted the interculturality to achieve welfare in society, such is the case of Universidad Veracruzana (UV) through the Universidad Veracruzana Intercultural (UVI) – as a Program since 2005 and from 2007 as a Directorate - undertakes the task of broadening horizons with an emphasis on horizontal educational processes, close to sectors that have been far from educational opportunities.

Thus, considering international and national policies tending to favor the cultural diversity recognition of our societies, and the strengths of Universidad Veracruzana, UVI creation allowed to meet the needs of the intercultural region's population to get access to higher education studies; to identify and strengthen the potential of Veracruz State Regions, seeking greater growth and development in Veracruz, Mexico.

Objective:
To promote the democratic coexistence of the Veracruz society, as well as the processes of producing knowledge of the people from intercultural regions, through the training of professionals and intellectuals committed to economic and cultural development in the community, at regional and national levels, whose activities contribute by promoting a process of reassessment and revitalization of cultures and native languages.

Development:
This article attempts to show how the Universidad Veracruzana enforces integral educational programs through the UVI, accessible to the different indigenous people from Veracruz State.

Conclusion:
Universidad Veracruzana through (UVI) develops competencies from the disadvantaged indigenous population, forming integral professionals, whom in the labor field could efficiently develop, despite the unfavorable conditions in which they have lived, and considering cultures, languages, beliefs and economic levels diversity.
