Abstract:
The present publication shows the investigation works carried out about the new approaches in Graphic Expression and their connection with the new study plans in the degree of Engineering in Telecommunications. The new integration with European studies, and the new technology will get us to adapt the contents to the education of the new 21st Century’s Engineering, and in the case of University of Alicante, this is the first time that the subject “Graphic Expression” will be imparted, for the fist time, in this discipline.
The degree of Engineering in Telecommunications has a big area of applications. One of them is focused on training professionals who will become able to carry out technical projects based on system installations. For this reason, it is important that these professionals acquire the knowledge that will enable them to generate and interpret engineering plans.
The objectives of the work were:
- To establish criterions about the minimal contents in Graphic expression that Engineering in telecommunications may know to face up in the course of their profession.
- To propose a line of common work between the different Engineering studies to stimulate the intercommunication between different professionals.
- To detail the program and the timing distribution in the academic year.
- To suggest a collaborative type of work by the realization of a common project of the different subjects that are taught in the first year of the Degree of Engineering in Telecommunications.

In this paper we show the conclusions obtained in the design of the degree of Engineering in Telecommunications at University of Alicante and the implication of the subject of Graphic Expression in the formation of professionals.
