Abstract:
The year in which the coronavirus pandemic began has demonstrated more than ever the importance to success of learning quickly and adapting to change by taking advantage of information technologies. For the first time, many universities have taken on the challenge of moving instruction to an online environment and using an e-learning system. In addition to universities, for which e-learning is an important tool for success in these conditions, many companies have also recognized the benefits of e-learning and have started to use its full potential. The most important question that arises is what are the determinants of e-learning success. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to explore the dimensions of the success of the e-learning system in order to invest in the e-learning system as efficiently as possible. To fulfill the purpose of the research, this paper applied the structural equation modeling technique to a conceptual model based on Delone and McLean's information systems theory. The conceptual model considered the dimensions of organization, instructor, and user. It was tested among students of School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo. Smart PLS software was used for data analysis, which showed satisfactory reliability and validity of the measurement model. The results of the research showed that in terms of organizational dimension, better institutional support for students has a positive impact on the use of e-learning systems by students/end-users. From the end-users' perspective, the research showed that greater use of the e-learning system has a positive influence on the users' learning level and intention to continue using e-learning, while greater user satisfaction with the e-learning system has a positive influence on learning.
