Abstract:
At an international level, Ráquira's crafts (Colombia) stand out for their beautiful aesthetic and utility. Their elaboration has required ancestral knowledge that has been passed from generation to generation, with something of modernization typical of the 21st century. However, beyond the basic knowledge of its production and marketing, it is necessary to implement educational strategies in the context of the orange economy and its benefits that can strengthen, innovate and support the economic activity to which they are dedicated. The above knowledge that the orange economy includes those activities of production, creation, circulation of goods and services, with cultural components and that are susceptible to being protected by copyright. This way, the objective of this document is to show the need for actions in non-formal education to artisans in the municipality of Ráquira so that they know the benefits of the orange economy, through a study with a mixed approach and descriptive, where interviews and surveys were carried out with the artisans of the municipality and it was found that only 15% of the artisans know that handicrafts are part of the orange economy and that 10% know about its benefits, so they are unaware and have not received training about the benefits of the orange economy, which is why this training is required. They expressed that they would like to receive this training through programs (virtual or in-person) complemented with information through media such as social networks, visits to their businesses, television, brochures, meetings with government agencies and billboards. If the artisans of Ráquira are educated on this topic, they could expand their production and marketing of handicrafts, preserving tradition and generating income, jobs and economic growth.
